Friends of Music, Inc. was created to bring the joy and benefit of music to northwest Broward County, Florida.   As a non-profit group, a variety of musical events are offered during the year. 

Friends of Music, Inc. was organized in 2003, dedicated to helping to fill the void left by the former Florida Philharmonic.  Both pops and chamber concerts have been attended by more than 9,000 people. Concerts are for people of all ages, with a special rate of $5 for students.

Friends of Music, Inc. since the beginning, has enabled nearly 1,200 local students to learn from and to perform alongside professional musicians.

Some of our past performances include The United States Army Band, The Dallas Brass, Fireworks Music Ensemble of New York, the Boca Symphonia, world renowned  pianist Kemal Geckic, and the pianists the Duo Turgeons.   Once a year, we offer an opportunity for  students to play 'side by side' with professional musicians during the performance. 

In 2006, Friends of Music was honored by the City of Coral Springs for its contribution to the cultural arts and education to Coral Springs residents.

Friends of Music has donated over $100,000 to local school music programs in Coral Springs and Parkland.  The organization  is managed  totally by dedicated volunteers.
